    What does this mechanical shaft seal do?

    It seals the point where the rotating pump shaft passes through the pump assembly. The kit is used when the specified mechanical seal needs replacement. The associated O-ring seals the relevant casing joint; it performs a different function from the rotating shaft seal.

    What does BBUE mean?

    The first B identifies a rubber-bellows seal. The second B identifies a resin-impregnated carbon rotating face.     Will it fit every LM, LP, NM or NP pump?

    Can it be used on electronic or twin-head versions?

    It can address leakage caused by a defective shaft seal when correctly selected and fitted. Leaks can also originate at casing joints, plugs or damaged mating surfaces. Identify the leak source and investigate the original failure before replacing components.
