This pump has DN40 PN6/10 flanged connections with a 250 mm port-to-port length. Please check the flange size, pressure rating and pipework gap against your existing pump before ordering.
The MAGNA1 D is a twin-head circulator with two pump heads mounted on a common body. Twin-head pumps are commonly used where duty/standby operation, service resilience or duty sharing is required, depending on how the system is configured.
This model uses DN40 PN6/10 flanges with a 250 mm port-to-port length. Where dimensions and duty are comparable, it can replace other DN40 twin-head in-line circulators from brands such as Wilo, Lowara and KSB, subject to hydraulic duty, flange standard, electrical supply and control compatibility.
The advantage of an electronically controlled circulator is that it can often be adjusted during commissioning to better match the required duty of the pump being replaced, rather than being locked to one fixed-speed curve.
MAGNA1 is suitable for thin, clean, non-aggressive liquids that do not contain solid particles or fibres. Typical uses include heating water, chilled water and clean circulation duties.
Water/glycol mixtures may be used, but glycol concentration and temperature affect viscosity, performance and pump selection. Refer to Grundfos documentation and glycol supplier guidance before use with glycol mixtures.
Not suitable for:
No. MAGNA1 is a canned-rotor circulator, so there is no conventional mechanical shaft seal.
MAGNA1 is usually chosen when you need a reliable, energy-efficient circulator with simpler setup and lower cost. MAGNA3 adds more advanced features such as expanded monitoring, energy metering and additional communication/control options.
MAGNA1 includes basic control and monitoring functions, including fault relay, digital start/stop input and wireless communication with Grundfos GO Remote. Please check the required control functions against your system before ordering.
