    GRUNDFOS TPED 100-200/2 S A F A BQQE LWB – 5.5 kW 415V Twin-Head In-Line Circulator Pump (99114622) #4809

This listing is for a Grundfos TPED pump from the TP family of dry-rotor, single-stage in-line circulator pumps. It is a twin-head, electronically speed-controlled unit with identical in-line suction and discharge ports, designed for heating, cooling and industrial circulation duties where energy-optimised variable speed operation and serviceability are important.

Condition: supplied in as new surplus condition – the unit has not been installed or used but may show minor cosmetic markings from storage and handling. Guarantee: supplied with a 2-year guarantee.

    • Pump type: TP family – dry-rotor, single-stage in-line circulator
    • Configuration: Twin-head (two parallel power heads)
    • Connection: PN16 DIN flanges – DN100
    • Motor: Electronically commutated motor (ECM) with integrated frequency converter
    • Efficiency class: IE5 (IEC 60034-30-2)
    • Service design: Top-pull-out – power head removable without disturbing pipework
    • Shaft seal: BQQE mechanical seal

    Important commissioning note:
This TPE pump is typically commissioned using Grundfos GO Remote (via MI interface). Correct control mode and setpoints should be configured on site to suit the application.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What does the model number mean?

    • TP – TP pump range (dry-rotor in-line circulator)
    • E – electronically speed-controlled pump
    • D – twin-head pump
    • 100 – nominal diameter of inlet and outlet ports in DN
    • 200 – maximum head (dm)
    • /2 – 2-pole motor
    • S – sensor version code
    • A – basic version
    • F – DIN flange
    • A – basic version
    • BQQE – shaft seal code
    • LWB – suffix code: L = 5.5 kW rated motor power; W = not for sale in North America; B = 2900–4000 RPM, ECM (electronically commutated motor)

What does the BQQE shaft seal code mean?

BQQE describes the mechanical seal materials used in this pump:

    • B – rubber bellows seal construction
    • Q – silicon carbide rotating face
    • Q – silicon carbide stationary face
    • E – EPDM elastomers

This seal arrangement is commonly used for heating and cooling water applications compatible with EPDM materials.

Seal operating temperature (BQQE): suitable from -25 °C up to 120 °C in water duties (EPDM-limited).

    Why choose BQQE?
BQQE uses a silicon-carbide against silicon-carbide face pairing. This provides extremely high wear and abrasion resistance and excellent stability in hot-water circulation systems. It is the preferred choice for modern HVAC installations and duties with magnetite or fine particles, where long service life is more important than dry-running tolerance.

What liquids can this pump be used with?

Based on the TP/TPE product documentation, this pump is typically suitable for:

    • Heating system water meeting accepted water quality standards
    • Cooling and chilled water circuits
    • District heating water
    • Condensate
    • Softened water
    • Clean industrial circulation liquids compatible with cast iron and EPDM

Water/glycol mixtures are permitted, but allowable temperature and concentration depend on operating conditions. You must refer to the Grundfos liquid compatibility chart before use with glycol or brines.

    Not suitable for:

    • Liquids containing solid particles or fibres
    • Flammable liquids
    • Mineral oils or synthetic oils
    • Strong chemicals that attack EPDM
    • Sea water or aggressive saline solutions

Does this pump need to be commissioned?

Yes. This is an electronically controlled TPE pump and is typically commissioned using Grundfos GO Remote. The correct control mode, setpoints and operating limits should be configured during installation.

Is this suitable to replace other DN100 circulators?

This model uses DN100 flanges with a port-to-port length of 500 mm. Where dimensions and duty are comparable, it can replace circulators from brands such as Wilo, Lowara and KSB. The advantage of a variable-speed circulator is that it can be tuned to adjust the previous duty – the pump can be set up or down to match the operating point of the unit being replaced.

Can the motor be removed without draining the system?

Yes – the pump uses a top-pull-out design, so the power head can be removed while the pump housing remains installed in the pipework.
