These figures provide simplified information for searching, filtering and initial comparison. They are not a complete specification. Exact details depend on the model and configuration.
Power rating: Usually the motor’s rated mechanical output (P2). Electrical input power (P1) is a different value. Check the product’s nameplate or manufacturer’s documentation to confirm which rating applies.
Outlet size: The nominal size class is expressed on a millimetre basis: for example, DN40 denotes a nominal 40 mm size. It does not specify the exact measured opening, connection type, thread, flange drilling or pressure rating.
Head and flow: Indicative figures describing the pump’s performance envelope, rather than a single operating duty point. Do not assume maximum flow is available at maximum head, or that every combination within the ranges is achievable. Minimum figures do not establish safe continuous operating limits. Consult the relevant performance curve.
Check the product description, nameplate and manufacturer’s documentation before selection or installation. Please contact us before purchasing if you need help confirming suitability or connection details.

This listing is for a DAB EVOPLUS 60/180 M high-efficiency electronically controlled heating circulator pump, product number 60150939. Part of the DAB EVOPLUS SMALL range, it features G 1½ threaded connections, a 180 mm installation length and a single-phase 220–240V electrical supply.
The EVOPLUS 60/180 M is designed for circulating clean water in domestic and commercial heating, cooling and HVAC systems. Its high-efficiency permanent-magnet motor and integrated variable-frequency drive automatically adjust the pump speed to suit changing system requirements.
With a maximum head of 6 metres, a maximum flow rate of approximately 7 m³/h (1.94 L/s) and a maximum electrical input of just 100W, this circulator provides an energy-efficient alternative to older fixed-speed heating pumps.
The integrated graphical display allows the installer to select proportional-pressure, constant-pressure or constant-curve operation and adjust the pump's performance to match the heating system.
Condition: Supplied in as-new surplus condition. The pump has not been installed or used but may show minor cosmetic marks from storage and handling.
Guarantee: Supplied with a 2-year guarantee.
Performance note: Maximum flow and maximum head are separate operating limits and are not achieved simultaneously. The actual operating point depends on the selected control mode, setpoint and system resistance.
Connection note: The G 1½ measurement refers to the external union threads on the pump. This is normally associated with DN25 / 1-inch pipework using suitable pump unions. The thread size should not be confused with the nominal pipe diameter.

The DAB EVOPLUS 60/180 M is a high-efficiency heating and cooling circulator designed to move water around closed-loop heating and HVAC systems.
Unlike a conventional fixed-speed circulator, it uses an electronically controlled motor that can adjust its speed according to the requirements of the system.
This makes it particularly useful in heating systems where the flow requirement changes as thermostatic radiator valves, zone valves or other controls open and close.
The product is also included in DAB's EVOPLUS SMALL range.
The manufacturer specifies a maximum head of 6 metres and a maximum flow rate of approximately 7 m³/h (1.94 L/s).
The pump does not produce maximum flow and maximum head simultaneously. At higher flow rates, the available head decreases according to the selected operating curve.
The integrated variable-speed control allows the pump to operate at different points within its performance envelope, making it easier to match the circulating pressure to the system.
The manufacturer's performance curves are provided in the technical datasheet linked above.
This pump has G 1½ male threaded connections on both the inlet and outlet.
These are the threads used to secure the pump's union connections. The corresponding nominal pipe size is normally DN25 / 1 inch when suitable unions are fitted.
The pump has a 180 mm port-to-port installation length, making it suitable for replacing many existing threaded circulators with matching dimensions.
Important: Check the existing union connections and sealing arrangement before ordering. The G 1½ thread size does not mean the connected pipework itself must be 1½ inches in diameter.
The DAB EVOPLUS SMALL range offers three principal control modes:
The required mode and setpoint are selected using the integrated graphical display.
Additional functions may be available with compatible optional expansion modules, depending on the pump configuration.
For many conventional radiator systems with thermostatic radiator valves, proportional-pressure control is a suitable starting point.
As radiator valves close and the system requires less water, the circulator reduces the pressure it generates. This can help reduce unnecessary energy consumption and noise from valves and pipework.
Constant-pressure control may be more appropriate for certain underfloor heating, mixing or low-pressure-loss circulation systems.
Constant-curve operation is useful where a relatively constant flow rate or a particular fixed-speed characteristic is required.
The correct setting depends on the system design and should be adjusted during commissioning.
The manufacturer specifies a maximum electrical input of approximately 100W for this model.
Actual power consumption varies with the selected operating mode, pump speed and hydraulic duty.
When the system requires less circulation, the integrated electronic controller can reduce motor speed and electrical consumption.
The EVOPLUS 60/180 M has an Energy Efficiency Index of EEI ≤ 0.22, identifying it as a high-efficiency electronically controlled circulator.
Yes. The DAB EVOPLUS SMALL range incorporates a graphical LCD display with navigation buttons.
The display allows the installer to select operating modes, adjust setpoints and inspect operating information.
Depending on the selected display page, the pump can show information such as:
The indicated flow rate is an electronic estimate rather than a measurement from a separate physical flowmeter.
The EVOPLUS SMALL range supports optional expansion modules that provide additional control and communication functions.
Depending on the installed module, these can include external control signals and additional system interfaces.
Do not assume that 0–10V, PWM or building-management connections are included as standard on this particular pump.
If external control is required, check the fitted electronic module and the corresponding DAB documentation. Optional expansion accessories are not included unless shown in the product photographs.
EVOPLUS SMALL is the more compact part of the DAB EVOPLUS circulator family, designed for smaller domestic and commercial heating applications.
The larger EVOPLUS range includes pumps with higher flow and head capabilities, generally using flanged connections for larger commercial systems.
The EVOPLUS 60/180 M is part of the EVOPLUS SMALL family, offering 6 metres maximum head and threaded connections with a 180 mm installation length.
Potentially, yes. The EVOPLUS 60/180 M is a useful option for replacing an older circulator where the connection dimensions, hydraulic performance and electrical supply are compatible.
The main dimensions are:
DAB's historical circulator interchange information identifies this product as a replacement option for selected older DAB pumps, including the AC 65/180 and A 50/180 ranges.
However, older versions may have different electrical supplies, so an installation using a three-phase motor may require electrical alterations.
Replacement suitability must be confirmed against the existing pump's full hydraulic and electrical specification.
It may be a suitable alternative to certain Grundfos UPS, ALPHA or similar 180 mm threaded circulators, provided the pump duty, electrical supply and connection arrangement match.
Many DN25 threaded heating circulators use G 1½ union threads and a 180 mm installation length, making physical replacement possible without major pipework changes.
However, matching the dimensions alone does not establish hydraulic equivalence.
The required flow, available head, operating temperature, system pressure and electrical arrangement should be compared before replacement.
The EVOPLUS 60/180 M is intended for clean, non-aggressive heating and cooling water without solid particles or fibres.
Suitable duties include:
The pump is not designed for sewage, wastewater, sludge, abrasive solids, mineral oils, petroleum fuels or aggressive chemicals.
DAB recommends using magnetic dirt and sludge separators to protect circulator components from contamination.
Yes. The DAB EVOPLUS SMALL installation manual permits ethylene glycol mixtures up to a maximum concentration of 30%, subject to the manufacturer's operating conditions.
Glycol increases liquid viscosity, particularly at lower temperatures. This can affect hydraulic performance, motor loading and circulation efficiency.
The mixture must also be compatible with the pump's wetted materials, including its cast-iron housing, technopolymer impeller and EPDM seals.
Do not exceed the manufacturer's permitted glycol concentration or assume that all antifreeze formulations are suitable.
The manufacturer specifies a liquid temperature range of -10°C to +110°C and a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar.
The lower temperature limit applies only where the pumped liquid has adequate freeze protection and remains compatible with the pump.
The 16-bar specification refers to the maximum permissible system operating pressure. It does not mean the circulator can generate 16 bar of differential pressure.
With approximately 6 metres maximum head, the pump generates a maximum differential pressure of around 0.6 bar when pumping water.
System pressure and liquid temperature must remain within the manufacturer's limits.
Like other wet-rotor circulators, the EVOPLUS requires sufficient pressure at its inlet to prevent cavitation and maintain correct bearing lubrication.
The minimum inlet-pressure requirement becomes more important as water temperature increases.
Insufficient inlet pressure can cause noise, reduced performance and premature wear or damage to the rotor and bearings.
DAB provides the following minimum suction-pressure guidance:
| Water temperature | Minimum inlet pressure equivalent |
|---|---|
| 90°C | 20m water column (approximately 2.0 bar) |
| 100°C | 25m water column (approximately 2.5 bar) |
The installation manual also specifies a general minimum working pressure of 0.1MPa (1 bar).
When replacing an existing pump, check the system's static pressure, operating temperature and the manufacturer's minimum-pressure guidance before commissioning.
No. The EVOPLUS is a glandless wet-rotor circulator.
The pump uses a canned-rotor construction rather than the conventional mechanical shaft seal fitted to dry-rotor centrifugal pumps.
The pumped liquid provides lubrication and cooling for the wet-rotor components. The pump must therefore be correctly filled and vented and must not be operated dry.
This model has a cast-iron pump housing and is intended primarily for closed-loop heating and cooling systems.
It should not automatically be selected for potable domestic hot-water circulation.
DAB manufactures the EVOPLUS SMALL SAN range with bronze pump housings specifically for domestic hot-water applications.
For drinking-water or domestic hot-water circulation, a correctly approved pump with suitable corrosion-resistant materials should be used.
The circulator must be installed with its motor shaft horizontal.
DAB also specifies that the electronic control unit should remain in the correct vertical position. Where necessary, the motor/head assembly can be rotated in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Other important installation requirements include:
Electrical installation should be carried out by a competent person in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
No separate motor overload protector is normally required. The EVOPLUS SMALL incorporates electronic motor protection.
However, the electrical installation must still have appropriate isolation, earthing and circuit protection.
The integrated electronic controller contains capacitors that can retain hazardous voltage after the mains supply has been disconnected. The manufacturer's safety instructions must be followed before servicing.
Yes. The electronic controller monitors several operating conditions and can display fault codes.
The manufacturer's manual identifies faults relating to:
The display also provides access to an alarm history, helping installers identify recurring operating problems.
For example, fault code E42 is associated with dry-running operation, while E39–E40 can indicate pump blockage or overcurrent protection.
Always refer to the DAB installation manual for the exact fault interpretation and recommended corrective action.
