The Flygt NS 3085 is a robust submersible pump designed for efficient pumping of clean water, surface water and wastewater containing solids or long-fibered material. This unit is equipped with the Adaptive N hydraulic, developed to maintain performance over time by reducing clogging and wear in demanding drainage and sewage applications.
Flygt is a premium pump manufacturer and part of the Xylem Group, widely recognised for producing high-quality wastewater and drainage pumps used globally.
This pump is supplied as new, unused surplus stock and has not been installed. Minor cosmetic marks may be present from storage.

Series technical documentation:
Full technical details for the 3085 range can be found in the manufacturer documentation:

Technical note – voltage:
Voltage is shown as 415V in the listing for simplified search purposes.
The motor nameplate for this pump is 690V Star / 400V Delta.
Electrical connection must always follow the motor nameplate and be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
The Adaptive N design allows the impeller to move slightly along the shaft when bulky debris passes through the pump. This temporarily increases internal clearance, helping rags and fibrous material pass before the impeller returns to its normal position for efficient operation.
It aims to combine the hydraulic efficiency of a channel-style impeller with clog resistance closer to that of a vortex pump. In real wastewater duties this can reduce unplanned blockages while still maintaining stronger efficiency than a pure vortex design.
Adaptive N does not make a pump immune to all ragging or unsuitable applications. Correct pump sizing, operating point and installation remain essential, and performance should always be verified against the manufacturer curve and actual site conditions.
The S configuration is intended for portable or semi-permanent wet well use. The 3085 series uses the Flygt square 4-bolt discharge outlet. Although not a factory DIN flange, this outlet is compatible with DN80 PN10 adaptor flanges, allowing connection to hose elbows, pipework, or a guide-rail claw for fixed installations. Flygt claws or compatible third-party accessories can be used to suit an existing system. All accessories are supplied separately.
